July 2026 IFCA Foil Europeans St Peter Ording, Germany

Tycho spent several days competing in St. Peter‑Ording, Germany, where conditions ranged from calm weather to heavy wind and rain. He started the event strongly with two B‑finals and held 16th place overall among 65 competitors, while ranking 3rd in the youth division on the Foil. Despite being critical of himself, he felt confident about his speed and looked forward to the windier days. As the wind picked up, he completed four eliminations in tough conditions and even secured a standout 10th place after a last‑minute sail change. On the final day, the beach was flooded, but foil racing went ahead in 16–20 knots and manageable waves. Tycho finished 3rd in the youth foil category after two tight eliminations. Later, a fin elimination was delayed by a downpour, and the wind nearly disappeared. Just before the cutoff, the race started, and with help from Amado Vrieswijk at the finish, Tycho secured 2nd place in the senior fin fleet. This result placed him 3rd overall on the fin among adults, surprising many experienced competitors. Tycho ended the event with three podium appearances and even received two prize payouts, marking a breakthrough performance.

June 2026 Bonaire PWA  Youth & Junior Slalom World Cup

Finally racing again after missing out on the Aruba Hi-Winds events due something more important called School Exams. Tycho spend whole winter training and studying so hard he was more ready then ever before to beat the competition.

Starting on the Fin with 7 wins out of 8 heats on the first day he felt pretty good and yes there where though battles with though competition. During the course of the event there were more battles but the event victory never got out of sight.

On the Foil it was close every heat but in the end Tycho got the most wins and also there the event win.

July 2025 IFCA Youth & Junior Europeans Croatia

This year Tycho also wanted to go for the European title on both Fin and the Foil and so we made it a family holiday to the beautiful Croatia.

Viganj is a real hidden Gem for windsurfers, relaxed, friendly people, solid wind and beautiful scenery.  The competition was amazing with more then 85 Youth & Juniors from all over Europe. In the U17 boys Tycho had to compete against 17 other boys, which made it a big challenge.

On the Foil Tycho won the first elimination but elimination two and three the wind was not in his favor and he became second. The last day the conditions were more in his favor and he could potentially still win the event, but after crossing the start line the wind dropped and the race was cancelled. Vice European Champion is not bad after all.

On the Fin Tycho had one over early, but the others eliminations went very good with competitive racing.

June 2025 Bonaire PWA  Youth & Junior Slalom World Cup

Bonaire was again this year the home race for Tycho. Two weeks after the Aruba Hi-Winds the PWA tour visited our lovely island Bonaire. This year both Fin as well as Foil took place at Lac Bay. The wind was perfect five days long only patches of Sargassum could spoil some race time in the afternoons. At the end of the event 15 heats on the Foil and 20(!) heats on the Fin were completed, an all time record.

Tycho again competed in the Under 21 category and ended again on the 4th place (of the 12 competitors).

On the Fin all heats were won by Tycho, making it not very exiting but solid...

May 2025 Aruba Hi Winds PWA Youth & Junior Slalom World Cup

Aruba High-Winds is a unique events because of its size in the carribean region. A beautiful windsurf location called the blue highway, multiple disciplines like windsurfing, Windsurf foiling, Wing Foiling and kitesurfing. Every year they stand out with great coverage on livestream supported by great footage of the 'Dutch Dronegods'.

On the Fin Tycho has won all eliminations except one, resulting in a first place in the category FIN under 17 Boys.

This year Tycho decided to compete in the under 21 category on the Foil to learn and gain experience racing with the 'Big Boys'. The racing was indeed much harder and challenging but making it even more satisfying ending high in the midfield on the 4th place. On the third day 3rd in the ranking made him even glance at the podium.
